A specialist nurse in Maternal and Obstetric Health since 2017, she began her career in General Care in the Delivery Room of the Beatriz Ângelo Hospital, where she had the opportunity to learn from the best specialists and discovered her vocation as a Midwife. It was also here that she had her first contact with complementary pain control measures - aromatherapy, chromotherapy, music therapy, hydrotherapy, free movements, use of a pilates ball - and this was one of her specialty work themes. She has been working in Maternal-Fetal Medicine since 2017, currently in the delivery room at Cascais Hospital. It is in this unit that she has developed a project where she adopts, whenever possible, complementary and fundamental measures for the management of labor and childbirth. She has also been a nurse supervisor for puerperium internships at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem São Francisco das Misericórdias since 2018 and a breastfeeding counselor.
She describes the partnership with Essence Prime Care as an asset, as it allows for greater proximity between health institutions and users, as well as the possibility of demystifying fears and anxieties and empowering women and couples in all that motherhood entails.
She considers the role of the Specialist Nurse to be essential and is recognized for being able to turn this phase of life into a "magical" experience, as she likes to describe it.
