With a degree in General Nursing, she discovered the motivation and vocation to train as a midwife during her seven years of experience in the delivery room at Cascais Hospital.
With a Specialization and Master's Degree in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing, completed at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Lisboa, she is motivated by caring for women throughout their life cycle and by the desire to provide positive childbirth experiences.
During her academic career, she developed an individual project with the theme "The Intervention of Obstetric Nurses in the Prevention of Perineal Trauma in Childbirth", studying the possible action in its prevention throughout pregnancy, through the training of women/couples/family, and its impact on the experience of childbirth and postpartum.
Proactive, enthusiastic and creative, she found Essence Prime Care to be in line with her ideals of humanizing the maternity process.
